OUR STORY

We are husband and wife team, Matt & Lou. We started out owning a little café in West Kirby, on the Wirral Peninsula, Merseyside, where we built a reputation for offering great food, sometimes with a twist but always with a lot of love. The growth of our business and, in particular the outside catering and Street Food elements, encouraged us to take the leap to leaving our four walls behind, and opening Hardy’s Events and Catering.

Our outside catering business has grown from strength to strength in the last year, and the range and variety of events we cater for has lead us to some really exciting opportunities. Weddings, Corporate Events, Private Parties, Festivals, Food Fayres and Private Dining Experiences – we’ve loved them all. We offer a full catering service from sit down three course dining, Canapés, BBQs, picnics & Banquets…and pretty much everything in between. We are also licensed so are able to offer you a bar service in addition to the food.

BIG DUB OF LOVE

Our Street Food business started in 2015, with the conversion of our beloved 1979 VW Campervan in to a street food truck. Our first event was Vintage on the Dock, in Albert Dock, Liverpool…from then we were hooked!

We’ve traded all over the country, at food festivals, music festivals, private events and gorgeous weddings. Our second street food van, a 1970 ‘Early Bay’ joined the team in 2017. Both ‘Big Dubs’ have been to weddings serving yummy food & drinks and offer something a little different to a special day.
